CONNECTIONS / PROTECTION / SPARE PARTS
Electrical
Accessories.
The right detail.
For a complete installation.
Electrical accessories and spare-parts support for transformers, switchgear and distribution projects. Identify the equipment, match the interface and define the operating requirements.
Project-specific selection. Clear technical documentation.
01 / THE RIGHT FIT
Compatibility first.
Then the part number.
Accessories connect, protect and complete an electrical installation. A similar appearance or a matching voltage marking does not, by itself, establish that a replacement is suitable.
VoltGrid helps define the accessory and spare-parts scope using equipment identification, interface drawings and service conditions. The proposed items and documentation are confirmed before supply.
Bring the original equipment into view
Nameplates, part numbers and interface drawings help identify the required component.
Match the operating conditions
Check materials, dimensions, electrical ratings and the installation environment as one selection task.

The replacement checklist
that prevents a mismatch.
For existing equipment, confirm the identity and the interface before ordering.
Equipment identity
Manufacturer, model, serial number, nameplate and the original part reference.
Fit & rating
Dimensioned drawing, mounting details, electrical duty and conductor or cable information.
Service conditions
Indoor / outdoor exposure, temperature, materials and any environmental requirements.
03 / TECHNICAL SELECTION
Give each item
a complete identity.
A structured parts list makes technical review more reliable. Use one line per component and attach drawings or photographs where available.
Enquiry checklistPDF · Project specification worksheet| Selection parameter | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Equipment reference | Manufacturer, model, serial number and equipment nameplate |
| Item identification | Part name, existing part number and drawing reference |
| Quantity & purpose | Required quantity; new installation, maintenance or spare stock |
| Electrical duty | Voltage, current, insulation and any applicable protective rating |
| Mechanical interface | Mounting dimensions, threads, bolt spacing and connection geometry |
| Cable / conductor | Material, cross-section, diameter and insulation construction |
| Material & environment | Finish, corrosion exposure, temperature and indoor / outdoor conditions |

06 / COMMON QUESTIONS
Before you
order.
Practical questions about accessories selection and project requirements.
Ask a technical questionCan you identify a part from a photograph?
A photograph can help start identification, but it may not show the ratings, dimensions, materials or internal construction. Provide the equipment nameplate, part number and a dimensioned drawing whenever possible.
Can an alternative brand be used as a replacement?
An alternative must be checked for electrical and mechanical compatibility and any equipment or project restrictions. Do not assume that equal nominal ratings or a similar appearance establish equivalence.
What cable information is needed for a termination or gland?
Provide cable type, voltage class where relevant, conductor size, overall diameter, insulation dimensions and the required equipment interface. Installation environment and enclosure requirements may also affect the selection.
Can several accessory types be included in one enquiry?
Yes. Use a parts list with a separate line for each item, showing the part reference, application, quantity and any supporting drawing. This helps keep technical clarification and delivery scope organized.
How should spare parts be specified for existing equipment?
Link each spare to the equipment model and serial number. Include the original item reference, required quantity, storage needs and documentation requirements so the spare-parts package remains identifiable.
